About Me

My name is Todsen Leaman, and I'm student at Vancouver Island University with 1000+ hours of content creation in audio, video and performance. I grew up in Nanaimo BC and am looking to expand my experience on a professional level. I’ve always loved the concept of storytelling and documenting memories through entertaining videos, and by the time I was 11 years old, I had a YouTube channel with over 60 videos and 300,000+ views across the platform. I started playing music when I was 12 years old and have fallen in love with it ever since. Throughout high school I continued sporadically making videos, but also focused on the new band I joined called Danger Box in 2022. With the band, I was able to fill my love of music and video creation by helping promote the band with skits and videos on Instagram while furthering my knowledge of the digital world in high school.

Afterwards I joined VIU’s digital media program, and focused heavily on the challenging balance between my degree, the band, and work to fund the two. By second year, The band was stable enough to go on our first tour, I filmed the entire experience and edited together a full 48 min documentary including interviews, b-roll, and adventures. It was also this time that I was getting some good practice volunteering on the mixing board for SHAW on Boban Drive. By the summer of third year, we went on another tour, this time all the way to Quebec City and back. We ended up getting stranded homeless in Toronto for two weeks which really taught us how to work on our toes to survive, and after being on the road three weeks longer than planned, we made it back. This is also when I started taking a lot of the responsibility for the band's social media page.

Now it's the end of my fourth year, with about 150 shows played, and 30 reels designed and posted. I am quite familiar in my craft and have had lots of video creation, and performance experiences through the band, and various school projects. I have accumulated over 1000 hours of content creation experience over 4 different YouTube Channels, 4 different TikTok accounts, 3 different Instagram pages, and a consistent lifestyle of show business. My next steps are to migrate from the world of education, into the world of work, establishing myself with an internship before advancing in my career.
